Who we are
MyRound is a mobile app for running a window cleaning round. It is operated by Develophero, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Where this policy says “we” or “us”, that is who it means. You can reach us at support@windowcleaningapp.online.
Two different roles
This matters, so it comes first.
- For your own account — your email address, your sign-in details, your settings — we are the data controller. This policy explains what we do with it.
- For the customer records you put into the app — the householders on your round, their addresses, prices and payment history — you are the data controller and we are your processor. We hold that information on your behalf and act on your instructions. We do not use it for our own purposes, and we never sell it.
In practice that means your customers' details are yours. Your obligations to them (telling them how you use their data, and answering them if they ask about it) stay with you.
What we collect
Account information
Your email address and an account identifier. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and basic profile information from them — we never see your password. We do not receive your Apple ID password or any payment details.
The business data you enter
Whatever you put into the app to run your round: customer names, addresses, the location coordinates used to plot the round, prices, cleaning frequencies, job history, payments, invoices and expenses.
Technical and diagnostic data
App version, device type and operating system, and error diagnostics when something goes wrong. If you send a bug report, we receive what you write plus the technical context attached to it. Our servers record IP addresses as part of normal, secure operation.
Location
Addresses you enter are converted into map coordinates so the app can plot and order your round. If you allow the app to use your device location, it is used to show where you are relative to the round. We do not track your location in the background.
Messages
If you use the app to text your customers, we process the message content and the destination number so it can be delivered, and we keep a record of the conversation in your account.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
| What for | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Giving you the app, your account and your data | Performance of a contract |
| Keeping the service secure and preventing abuse | Legitimate interests |
| Fixing faults and improving the app | Legitimate interests |
| Sending messages to your customers on your instruction | Performance of a contract |
| Using your device's location | Consent — you can withdraw it in your device settings |
| Telling you about important changes to the service | Legitimate interests |
We do not run advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not sell data to anyone.
Who else processes it
We keep this list short on purpose. Each of these is a processor acting for us under contract:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase) | Sign-in, database, file storage, server functions and hosting |
| Google Maps Platform | Turning addresses into map coordinates, and route directions |
| Telnyx | Delivering text messages you choose to send |
| Apple / Google | Sign-in, if you choose those options, and app distribution |
Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards required under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or approved standard contractual clauses.
How it is kept separate and secure
Every business using MyRound has its own isolated set of records. The rules on our database are written so that one account cannot read or write another account's data, and those rules are tested automatically before any change to them can be released. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit, and requests are checked to confirm they come from a genuine copy of the app.
No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise. If a breach affects your rights, we will tell you and the Information Commissioner's Office as the law requires.
How long we keep it
- While your account is open — for as long as you keep using MyRound.
- After you close it — your business data is deleted within 30 days of your request, other than anything we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
- Diagnostics and bug reports — kept no longer than 12 months.
Ask us before you close your account and we will help you get your records out.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; or hand it over in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email support@windowcleaningapp.online and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you gave us the chance to put it right first.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Nothing here follows you around. The app itself uses local storage on your own device to keep you signed in.
Children
MyRound is a tool for running a business and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything significant we will update the date at the top and, where the change materially affects you, tell you in the app or by email.
